Congratulations on taking the first step toward serving in the Ministry of the Pentecostal Protestant Church (PPC). By joining the Pastoral Corps, you are embarking on a journey of spiritual growth, leadership development, and lifelong service. The Selection Committee, together with Beula Park Academy and other key stakeholders, will walk alongside you, equipping and empowering you to fulfill your calling effectively.

Step 1

  • Please complete the online application form and submit the payment for the evaluation fee. Please use the quick link to the application form available on the below. Upon clicking the link, you will be directed to the online form for completion and submission.
  • Please ensure that all completed Theological Qualifications are uploaded and appropriately categorised under the relevant sections of the application form.
  • Additionally, there is a designated section where you may upload any other Non-theological Professional Qualifications.

  • First Interview. Preliminary Meeting with the 1. National Convenor, 2. Secretary, 3. PPC Financial head, 4. PPC CEO, 5. Association Leader, 6. Local Pastor,7. Coordinator: PPC Mentorship Program, and the 8. Registrar, Beula Park Academy 
  • Purpose: Serves as a pre-approval step for the candidate and provides guidance on the necessary steps to meet the requirements for final approval by the Selection Committee.

  • Enrol with Beula Park Academy – BBCEO Year 1 Fundamental Theological Programme
  • Enrol in the Mentorship Programme (Phase 1: Mentorship Orientation Program - Orientation to the 12 Core Ministerial Roles.                
  • SPCP Registration

  • Enrol with Beula Park Academy – BBCEO Year 2 Advanced Theological Programme
  • Proceeding with Phase 1 of the Mentorship Program and initiating Phase 2: Practical In-Service Training within the framework of the mentorship initiative.
  • Completion of: BBCEO Year 2 Advanced Theological Programme and Mentorship programme, as well as registration with the SPCP
  • Second Interview: Attend a second interview with the Selection Committee for final approval
  • Receive Ordination Certificate if approved and called by a congregation.
  • The candidate may be considered for a position as an Assistant Pastor in the local assembly.
  • Annual Renewal: Renew the ordination certificate each year after achieving the prescribed CPD points.
  • SPCP Registration

Required to be appointed as Senior/ Presiding/Co-pastor at a congregation 

  • Enrol with Beula Park Academy – BBCEO Year 3: Praxis of the Church
  • Establish and cultivate a team of 12 individuals to serve as support members within the Year 3 study program.
  • Continuous Mentorship and CPD Development
  • Completion of: BBCEO Year 3: Praxis of the Church
  • Selection Committee and receive the Ordination Certificate if approved and called by a congregation
  • The candidate may be considered for a position as Senior/ Presiding/Co-pastor in a congregation.
  • Annual Renewal: Renew the ordination certificate each year after achieving the prescribed CPD points.
  • SPCP Registration 

Candidates with Approved Theological Qualifications

If you already hold a SAQA-registered, accredited theological qualification at NQF Level 5 or higher from a recognised higher education institution, you may qualify for exemption from further studies. However, you will still need to:

  • Follow steps 1 and 2 above. (NB: Qualifications need to be uploaded when applying.
  • Successfully finish the PPC Admission Bridging Programme.
  • Enrol in and complete the Mentorship Program (Phase 1: Mentorship Orientation Program - Orientation to the 12 Core Ministerial Roles.
  • Practical In-Service Mentorship Training (if needed): Engage in the Practical In-Service Training of the mentorship training if required.
  • Second Interview: Attend a second interview with the Selection Committee for final approval 
  • Receive Ordination Certificate if approved and called by a congregation
  • Function as an Assistant Pastor for six months within a local assembly.
  • The candidate will be placed on the Official Calling List of the PPC and will be eligible to accept a call as Senior/Presiding or Co-pastor in an assembly after six months.
  • Annual Renewal: Renew the ordination certificate each year after achieving the prescribed CPD points.

Associated Costs

The fee for the evaluation is R500.00 and must be paid at the time of application. Payment should be made to the PPK Admin account. Please attach (upload) proof of payment to the completed application form. Banking details are provided below.:

  • Other Professional Qualifications (non-theological, e.g., certificates, diplomas, degrees)

  • Proof of Payment for the evaluation fee

  • Employment and Ministry History (including current role, leadership responsibilities, and experience in areas such as preaching, youth, children’s work, counselling, etc.)

  • Personal Testimony (a short description of when and how you came to know Jesus as your personal Saviour)

  • References (names, email addresses, and phone numbers of at least two referees)

  • Family Information (spouse, children, dependants if applicable)

  • Language Proficiency (your level of ability in different languages)
